Intermediate-Level 3 Mountain Dulcimer Lesson-Neal Hellman

Here. I'll go over the whole a part now. Strum, hammer, hammer, bass string, strum, hammer, hammer on the middle string and then a strum. So it sounds like this. Then the second bar, strum a 010.
Strum, pull, hammer, strum, hammer, pull, hammer, thick or strum. Then you repeat. Strum, 1, 2, strum, 1, 2, 3. Now here's the last bar, the 4th bar of the a part. Strum, pull, hammer, pull, pull, strum, or you can go strum, pull, strum.
Okay. So now I'm gonna play you the entire a part. And once again, there's some basics I always like to tell you. The closer you get to the bridge, the more bites you're gonna have, and the further away the more mellow it'll sound.

For Intermediate Level players, Neal Hellman teaches an Irish polka named John Brosnan's.  Neal is a fan of left-hand articulations and in this sample lesson from his 11 lesson course.
