Dulci-Tune Review

Hi, Steve Eulberg here for Dulcimer Crossing. You know, I've been well served by the tuning system I've been using for years. It the Korg tuner with the tuning clip that's attaching to the instrument to filter out the sounds that are coming from all over the place, that has actually done me very well. It's a huge improvement over trying to tune my instrument with, pitch pipe, which I blew out of tune, and, you know, a little high a little high, a little low, depending on my breath. Also, much easier than using a tuning fork.
For years, I had an a tuning fork, and I do that, and then I use my tuning game. The only thing that is a drawback is that once I get I have all this that I have to coil up and keep track of, which has not been a problem. But then what do I do with the tuner? And I have have to move it out of the way when I get to those notes and, make sure these aren't on here and make sure it doesn't fall off. There's there's several little things that I adjust to that that are just a little can be a little annoying or distracting.
So I was really excited to see that Dusty Strings had come up with their partnership with Snark Tuners, who which have been very popular in the mountain dulcimer world and with guitarists, to create this thing called this the dulcetune, what they call it. It's essentially a snark tuner. It's on a ball head. It's on a bendable, and this is really cool. Little, little leg here.
It's only about so big. That fits just like the tuning wrench over one of your tuning pins. And that makes the face adjustable so that when I want to tune this note Well, it looks like I need to tune this note over here a little bit. It has the same snark accuracy and quickness. Red if it's too low, yellow if it's too high, and green if it's right on.
It has the easy onoff button. It's out of the way and it fits in the same little pouch that my hammers fit in. And I do have to move it when I get to that place, but that's the one little movement I need to do. I'm just really impressed with it. It comes in a little box like this, but I haven't used that plastic box at all.
I just stick it right in with my cameras in the bag that goes there. They also provide a pick if you don't have a fingernail. And it has a little magnet on it, which can attach your tuning wrench, or it can attach to the the the arm of the tuner itself. I'm I'm just like it. So it's another tool that can help us do what we want to do most, which is play and not spend all of our time tuning.
It's unobtrusive. It fits in with all your other things. I think it fits the bill and I'm pleased with it. So it may be something that you might be pleased with too. It's available from Dusty Strings.
It's also available at Al Mountain Music and several other retail locations. So if that might be just the thing that your loved one needs or you want to ask for for for a special time of the year for you, a birthday, thank you present, holiday. Well, there you go. The dulcetune.
