About the Lessons

1. Introduction & Demo Deborah begins by demonstrating the melody only version, followed by her arrangement with harmony.
2. Mapping the Tune Unlike most of our tunes, the melody in Deborah's arrangement is on the middle string, the A string.
3. Right Hand Watch where Deborah adds an accent to her strumming pattern. She is running the tune through her head as she plays, and the accents in her strumming reflect that.
4. Harmony Deborah shows us how to form the chords to add harmony.
5. Playing with Others If you play or perform this tune with a friend, make sure your strumming is in sync with the other person - following the rhythm in the lyrics.
6. Why Am I Drawn to This? Deborah has performed Christmas tunes all her life, but she is especially drawn to this tune. Find out why in this video.
7. Play Along Deborah plays through the entire tune for us one more time, first the melody and then the harmony, up to tempo.
