D-A-d Tuning
1. Demonstration Steve begins by demonstrating the tune in D-A-d tuning.
2. Key Phrase This time, we'll learn this song by starting, not at the beginning, but by learning a key phrase that ends both the A and B parts.
3. B Part,
1st Section
Now we place that key phrase in its context in the first section we learn of the B Part of the tune.
4. B Part,
2nd Section
Here is the rest of the B part which also utilizes the articulations of slides, hammer-ons and pull-offs.
5. B Part, Whole I realize that learning something in pieces can contribute to confusion when putting it all together, so HERE is the B part complete and in order!
6. A Part, Pieces In this segment, we learn all the pieces that make up the A Part, and develop our flatpicking (playing across the strings ) in the first position.
7. Putting it All Together In this scene, we put all the pieces of the A and B together! (Thanks for your patience!)
