Lesson Skills Mountain Dulcimer D-A-A Tuning D-A-d Tuning   In this fine tune we explore playing in a linear (up and down the fretboard) or flatpicking (across the strings) in two different tunings.  The tune also challenges us by ending on the IV chord, rather than at home! Hammered Dulcimer   This Scottish Reel is a fun tune that also helps us make decisions about whether to play across the bridge, or play in an up-and-down linear fashion; practice and make decisions about left or right-hand lead. We also practice the skill of learning to play a tune by paying attention to which courses are NOT played, and learning to the skip them
