1. The Slide In this lesson we'll look at how to hold the slide in more detail.
2. The Other Fingers The placement of the fingers NOT holding the slide is also important for the clarity of the sound.
3. Vibrato The familiar "style" with slide playing comes from a left hand technique that produces vibrato.
4. Finding the Chords In this lesson we use the frets as markers to find the usual chords we expect to see on a dulcimer.
5. Finding the Notes In this lesson we find the notes that are in the chords at each fret in the D-F#-A-d tuning for the first octave.
6. Finding Notes Two Octaves Higher Now we find the notes in two higher octaves, and pay attention to the angle of the slide in order to play in tune.
